Thank You Card

My amazing neighbor has done so much for me in the past week and a 1/2.  So I made her this Thank You card.

sorry I couldn't get a clear picture :(

I used a 7 x5 piece of Bazzil white cardstock and folded it in half so I had a 3.5x5 card.  I used Making Memories Cheeky packaging tape for the bottom dotted strip and Making Memories Chloe's Closet for the pink paper.  The rub on in the middle is from the American Crafts Berry Special phrases collection and the flower is Close to My Heart Just Blooms Autumn Daisy.  This one is all me!  I'm quite proud of it.

Glass Etching

Glass etching always looked fun. And easy after reading some tutorials.  I went to the local thrift store and picked up a lot of glass for me to try on.  I believe that this used to be a candle jar.

I used my Cricut to cut a butterfly image out from the Tear Drop font cartridge.  I used vinyl because it sticks to the glass.  I made sure there weren't any air bubbles in the vinyl near the image.

Next I used glass etching cream and covered the stencil.  Careful.  Any where the cream touches, will be etched.  Leave on for 10 minutes or so and....

Voila!  Glass Etched Jar!

It's a start

Well, I have decided to try my hand at a craft blog.  I've been getting into this sort of stuff and decided to have a website dedicated directly to my crafts.  The name Tryin' to Scrap comes from the fact that I'm still working on being good at this.  Most of what I make is from other ideas, but I'm starting to branch out.  So, welcome to my craft blog!
